REED INFORMATION:

Jon Halvor Lund uses the Rieger 1A shape with his own profile. His model has a 30 mm tube, different from other models at Barton.

Jon places his 0,6mm wires at 6, 20 and 28 mm from the butt end. The tip is clipped at 28 mm from the collar, often shortened to 27,5mm depending on each reed’s characteristic. The reed setup is adapted to work well in a quite dry climate at sea level (Oslo, Norway), playing a “thick-wall” bassoon in an orchestra that tunes to a=442.
